Privacy Policy
Kranenburg Painting is a family-run painting contractor, not a data company. We collect what we need to quote your job, schedule your crew, and keep in touch about your project — nothing more. We do not sell your information, and we never share your mobile number or text-message consent with anyone for marketing.
Effective date: August 17, 2026
Applies to: Kranenburg Painting Inc, Port Charlotte,
FL, and this website (kranenburgpainting.com)
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Kranenburg Painting Inc ("Kranenburg Painting," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information. We are a licensed and insured interior, exterior, residential, commercial, and Venetian plaster painting contractor based in Port Charlotte, FL, serving 20 communities across Southwest Florida.
This policy covers information we collect through kranenburgpainting.com, through our online booking calendar, by phone, by text message, by email, and in person when we visit your property to provide an estimate or perform work.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us directly
- Contact details — your name, mobile or landline phone number, email address, and the service address of the property to be painted.
- Project details — what you want painted, the condition and age of the surfaces, square footage, color and finish preferences, access instructions, gate or alarm codes you choose to share, HOA requirements, and your preferred schedule.
- Booking information — the date and time you select when you schedule a free estimate through our online calendar, along with anything you type into that form.
- Billing and payment information — amounts, invoices, and payment records. Card and bank details are entered directly with our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Correspondence — the content of emails, text messages, voicemails, and form submissions you send us, and our replies.
Information collected automatically when you visit this website
- IP address, general location inferred from it (typically city-level), and time zone.
- Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size.
- Pages you viewed, how you arrived (search engine, social link, or direct), and how long you stayed.
This site is a static website. It does not require an account, and it does not run advertising trackers or sell audience data.
Information from other sources
- Reviews and ratings you post publicly about us on Google, Facebook, or other review platforms.
- Referral information when a past customer, builder, designer, property manager, or HOA passes along your name and contact details so we can reach out about a project.
- Property information that is already a matter of public record, such as county property appraiser records, when we prepare an estimate.
3. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Respond to your call, text, email, or estimate request.
- Prepare, send, and revise written estimates and change orders.
- Schedule your estimate appointment and your crew, and notify you of weather delays.
- Perform the work, order the correct products and colors, and manage the job site.
- Invoice you, process payments, and keep required financial and tax records.
- Provide warranty service, handle touch-up requests, and investigate any concern you raise about completed work.
- Send you service-related messages about your project, and — only if you have asked to receive them — occasional seasonal reminders or promotions.
- Ask for a review after a completed job, which you are always free to decline.
- Maintain our licensing, insurance, workplace-safety, and lien-law records, and comply with Florida and federal law.
- Understand which pages and service areas visitors find useful, so we can improve the site.
4. Text messaging and mobile opt-in
We use text messaging to confirm estimate appointments, tell you when a crew is on the way, coordinate weather-related schedule changes, answer questions about a quote, and — if you have separately agreed to receive them — send occasional promotional offers.
How we obtain your consent
We only text mobile numbers we have permission to text. You give that permission when you:
- Check the consent box on our online booking or contact form, next to a disclosure telling you what kind of messages you will receive;
- Send us a text message first, or give a crew member or estimator your number and ask us to text you; or
- Provide your mobile number on a signed estimate, proposal, or work order.
Consent to receive marketing text messages is never a condition of hiring us or of any purchase. You can hire Kranenburg Painting, get an estimate, and have your project completed without ever agreeing to receive a text message.
How we treat your mobile number
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors or vendors that provide support services to us — such as our customer relationship management and messaging platform — is permitted solely so that those providers can deliver messages on our behalf.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties for their own purposes. This category of information is excluded from every other sharing practice described in this policy. We do not sell, rent, trade, or license your mobile number or your SMS consent to anyone.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message from us to stop receiving texts at that number. We will send one confirmation message and then stop. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (941) 524-2937 or cliff@kranenburgpainting.com. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Full messaging terms are in our Terms and Conditions.
Opting out of text messages does not remove you from our records or stop us from contacting you by phone or email about work in progress.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not share it with data brokers, lead-generation networks, advertisers, or other painting companies.
We share information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers who work on our behalf. These include our customer relationship management, scheduling, and messaging platform (which powers the booking calendar on this site and sends our appointment texts and emails), our website host, our email provider, our payment processor, and our accountant. They may use your information only to provide those services to us — never for their own marketing.
- Paint suppliers and color labs. Where a custom color match or a manufacturer's product warranty requires it, we may share the project address and product details — not your phone number or email — with the supplier or manufacturer.
- Property owners, managers, HOAs, general contractors, and designers who are part of your project, when coordinating access, approvals, or scheduling requires it.
- Insurers and legal advisors, if a claim, dispute, lien, or warranty matter arises involving your project.
- Government agencies or courts, when we are required to respond to a subpoena, permit requirement, licensing inquiry, tax obligation, or other legal process.
- A successor business, if Kranenburg Painting is ever sold, merged, or reorganized. Your information would transfer with the customer records, and this policy would continue to apply to it until you are notified otherwise.
As stated in section 4, mobile numbers and SMS consent data are excluded from all of the above except delivery of the messages themselves.
6. Photographs of your property
We photograph our work. Those photos appear in our project gallery, on our service and service-area pages, on our Facebook page, and in estimates we show to other prospective customers.
We photograph the work — walls, trim, cabinets, stucco, storefronts, plaster finishes, and building exteriors. Unless you specifically agree in writing, we do not publish:
- Your name, street address, or house number;
- Photographs in which you, your family, or your license plates are identifiable;
- Interior photographs that show personal belongings, documents, or valuables.
Photos are typically captioned only by city, such as "Punta Gorda, FL." If you would rather we did not photograph your property at all, or you want a photo taken down after the fact, tell your estimator or email cliff@kranenburgpainting.com and we will honor it. We cannot always retrieve copies that others have already shared or reposted elsewhere.
7. Cookies, analytics, and embedded content
This website itself sets no advertising cookies and runs no cross-site ad tracking. Two features do load content from other companies, and those companies may set their own cookies or receive your IP address when the content loads:
- The booking calendar on our estimate scheduling page, which is an embedded widget from our scheduling and messaging platform. Anything you enter into it goes to that platform and then to us.
- Google Maps, embedded on some pages to show our service area. Google's own privacy policy governs that content.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, and we may review aggregate traffic statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can enable a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal — though the pages that would honor it here set essentially nothing to begin with.
8. How long we keep information
We keep estimate and project records, invoices, signed contracts, change orders, and job photographs for as long as we may need them to honor a warranty, defend a claim, or satisfy Florida contracting, lien, tax, and insurance recordkeeping requirements — generally at least five years after a project is completed, and longer where the law requires.
Records of text-message consent and opt-outs are retained for as long as we operate the messaging program, because we are required to be able to show that consent existed and that opt-outs were honored. If you request deletion, an opt-out record is the one item we keep, so that we do not accidentally text you again.
Estimate inquiries that never became projects are typically kept for about three years and then discarded.
9. How we protect information
This website is served over HTTPS. Our booking, customer records, and messaging live in password-protected accounts on established commercial platforms, accessible only to the owner and the office staff who need them. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our own devices.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information transmitted over the internet is immune from interception. Please do not send us Social Security numbers, full card numbers, or bank account numbers by text or email.
10. Your choices and rights
- Text messages — reply STOP to any message, or ask us to remove your number.
- Marketing email — use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email. We will still email you about an active project.
- Phone calls — tell us to stop calling and we will note it in your record.
- Access and correction — ask us what customer information we hold about you, and tell us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your information. We will do so except where we must keep it for warranty, lien, insurance, tax, or legal-defense reasons, and except for the opt-out record described in section 8.
- Project photos — ask us not to photograph your property, or to remove a photo already published.
Residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws may have additional statutory rights, including the right to know what is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front — but if you are entitled to such rights, we will honor them. Make any request using the contact details in section 14, and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows. We will not deny you service, charge you differently, or provide you a lesser quality of work for exercising any privacy right.
11. Children's privacy
Our services are sold to property owners and businesses, and this site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly send text messages to anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party sites
This site links to outside pages — our Facebook page, our Google Business Profile, review platforms, and our scheduling provider. Once you follow one of those links, this policy no longer applies. We do not control those companies and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business, our tools, or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold about you, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you directly. Continuing to use this website or our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
